Living next to a farm as a kid I would bring home items like parts from an old wheel barrel, broken charred pieces of oak wood and old rusted and worn metal scraps . |
|
I remember always seeing images and not the actual items so I started creating the impressions I saw and then would give them away to mostly family and friends. |

ow it all got started. |

Years later, with still a plentitude of recycled wood, metals, leather and fabric and clay on the planet, I am creating pieces inspired by nature and rural living in the Appalachian culture. A design degree helped and some experience in Las Vegas, in what I called “ the adult Disneyland”, taught me about thematic design. So I keep my work true to its nature in theme through its completion. The expressions come from the client and their lifestyle so each of my custom pieces has a story to tell and offers a smile from the buyer. Art needs to reawaken, create laughter and tears, and offer a moment for the perceiver to see them self through a natural gifted world. |
